The Google News Archive chart http://news.google.com/newspapers/ is very useful but needed to be enhanced by adding the name of country or state where the newspaper was published. I completed that task and put the name of where the paper came from.
That being done, I thought the list was too large to review since there were lots of newspapers published in Canada and other countries, so I removed all those newspapers from this new chart. This new chart only has the newspapers which are published in The United States. The names of the fifty (50) States plus DC are on top of the chart so you can pick the name of the State you want to see and you will be taken to the collection of those newspapers. When you want to go back up to the list of states you can click on "Back to Top" which is at right of chart.

I hope you will find this chart useful for your searches of news stories about your family tree ancestors.
Thank You
I got this e-mail from MrData1:
ReplyDelete"You're list is fake. All I get is a word document and when opened on Microsoft Word it is a bunch of HTML text. In other words FAIL!!! I guess it's back to the drawing board! The OPs question still remains unanswered."
I sent him this reply:
"I am old school and created the file in an old version of MS Word. Microsoft Office Word 97 - 2003 Document. 1.50MB"

I wish I had more up to date software so that users would not have problems with my work. I will continue looking at how to improve the files in my work, but giving you the type of MS Word file to use to open the file, might help you for now.
